Job Summary:
Benecard Services, LLC is a premier nationwide Prescription Benefit Administrator. They are seeking an experienced Senior Java & API Developer to support the development and maintenance of electronic data interfaces and CMS government reporting processes within an insurance environment.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Design, develop, and maintain highโ€‘performance Java applications using Core Java and Spring Boot
โ€ข Build, enhance, and integrate APIs, driving improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability
โ€ข Develop and support standalone Java applications and data interfaces connecting to multiple databases
โ€ข Maintain and enhance automated data interfaces and custom file layouts
โ€ข Support CMS encounter data submission processes to contracted health plans
โ€ข Monitor, reconcile, and validate submitted encounters against response files to ensure timely resolution of errors
โ€ข Create customized reports for internal stakeholders and external clients
โ€ข Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across multiple applications, APIs, and data interfaces
โ€ข Prepare and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and data exchange processes
โ€ข Provide offโ€‘hours production support as required
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Extensive experience in Java application and API development, including coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and production support
โ€ข Advanced knowledge of: Java, SQL, XML, JDBC, SFTP
โ€ข Experience with database platforms such as DB2 and MySQL
โ€ข Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets and standardized reporting
โ€ข Ability to support missionโ€‘critical production systems
Preferred:
โ€ข Experience working in an AS/400 environment preferred.
โ€ข Working knowledge of COBOL
โ€ข Exposure to EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) standards and processing
