Job description

Overview
The Director of CMMS and Operational Data will act in the capacity of System Administrator for the work order system and operational database. The position holds primary responsibility for creating and administering the policies, procedures, and protocols to enable standardization and optimization of operations. The CMMS will be used to gain strategic information for business decisions related to Facilities Management, Supply Chain, Marketing and Communications, the Client Experience Center, and Business Development. The Director will ensure the CMMS has the ability to meet Medxcel's regulatory and safety compliance. This position will provide leadership for facilities management training operations for the CMMS.
Responsibilities
  • CMMS & Regulatory Compliance: Administer CMMS operations to ensure full alignment with regulatory standards including Life Safety Code, The Joint Commission, CARF, and local AHJ requirements.
  • System Strategy & Architecture: Develop CMMS business models, operating procedures, data structures, and architecture to align software functionality with overall facilities management goals.
  • Data Management & Analytics: Build comprehensive data systems and partner with Information Services to automate reporting, financial projections, and asset management tracking.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner across key enterprise departments (IT, Finance, HR, Operations) to integrate the CMMS with organizational platforms and drive operational efficiency.
  • Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish KPIs, performance standards, and routine reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) to assess and optimize system operations.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Oversee hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing mentoring to build leadership, management, and technical skills across staff.
  • Financial & Resource Management: Manage operating and capital budgets while instituting data integrity controls according to organizational strategy.
  • Culture & Stakeholder Engagement: Foster open employee communication, engage internal and external stakeholders in continuous quality improvement, and handle complex issue resolution.

Qualifications
Education:
Minimum Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or management OR 15+ years' relevant experience in lieu of degree

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in related discipline

License/Certification:
Minimum Required:
  • None

Preferred:
  • Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM)

Experience:
Minimum Required:
  • 8+ years' experience working in a healthcare facilities management or field management in healthcare facilities outsourcing
  • 5+ years' experience managing SQL databases
