Summary

Senior Director Club Operations CDSThe Senior Director Club Operations CDS is responsible for leading strategic operational execution and overseeing warehouse operations within an assigned region. This senior leadership role drives organizational performance through executive-level team leadership, P&L management of field labor costs plus workers compensation and supplies, and serves as the primary operational liaison with Costco field leadership at the General Manager through Senior Vice President levels. The Senior Director establishes operational standards, implements enterprise-wide initiatives, and ensures service excellence while developing high-performing leadership teams capable of executing complex, multi-site operations.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes strategic operational plans to achieve revenue targets, profit objectives, and organizational growth while ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and maintaining service excellence standards across 150+ warehouse locations.

  • Leads and develops a team of District Managers through strategic coaching, succession planning, and performance management, while establishing operational standards and best practices across the region.

  • Manages comprehensive P&L performance including field labor, workers compensation, and supplies through effective budget management, resource optimization, and cost control measures while identifying revenue growth opportunities.

  • Builds and maintains executive-level relationships with key stakeholders including Costco field leadership (GM through SVP levels), internal senior leadership, and strategic partners, leading negotiations and partnership discussions that impact regional operations.

  • Drives operational excellence initiatives across weekly events by analyzing performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to enhance service delivery, operational efficiency, and competitive positioning.

  • Ensures enterprise-wide compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and corporate policies while executing comprehensive risk management strategies to protect organizational assets, reputation, and field team workforce.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Direct Reports Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
  • Indirect Reports: May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

- Travel and Driving are essential duties and function of this job - Travel up to 50%

Education Level:Bachelor's degree

Experience Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site operations environment, including demonstrated P&L responsibility of $50M+ with comprehensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Must have previous experience successfully leading teams of 8+ managers who oversee large-scale workforces (1,000+ employees).
  • Experience managing executive-level client relationships and implementing strategic operational initiatives that drive enterprise-wide business results required. Track record of developing leadership talent and building high-performing organizations essential.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced business acumen with demonstrated expertise in P&L management, financial analysis, and strategic planning at enterprise scale
  • Exceptional executive leadership skills with proven ability to develop high-performing leadership teams and drive organizational transformation
