How much do clinical outreach jobs pay per year?

As of Jul 14, 2026, the average yearly pay for clinical outreach in the United States is $67,542.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $53,500.00 and $78,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Clinical Outreach professional, and why are they important?

To excel as a Clinical Outreach professional, you typically need a background in healthcare or behavioral health, strong networking abilities, and knowledge of referral processes. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and data tracking tools is often required, along with certifications in healthcare liaison or outreach (when applicable). Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills help you connect with providers, patients, and community organizations. These competencies are vital for effectively promoting clinical programs, increasing patient referrals, and building trusted partnerships in the healthcare community.

What jobs can I do where I don't have to interact with people?

In clinical outreach or related healthcare roles, positions such as medical coding, data entry, or telehealth support often involve minimal direct patient interaction. These jobs typically require strong organizational skills and familiarity with electronic health records or specialized software, and they may be performed remotely or in office settings with limited face-to-face contact.

What is the easiest healthcare job that pays well?

In healthcare, roles such as medical assistants or phlebotomists are often considered easier to enter with minimal training and certification, while still offering competitive pay. These positions typically require on-the-job training or short certification programs and can provide a good balance of workload and salary for those starting in healthcare.

What is clinical outreach?

Clinical outreach involves healthcare professionals engaging with communities to provide health education, screenings, and services outside of traditional clinical settings. It aims to improve access to care, promote health awareness, and support public health initiatives, often requiring strong communication skills and knowledge of healthcare protocols.

What is the highest paid job in social care?

In social care, senior leadership roles such as Director of Social Services or Chief Social Worker tend to be the highest paid, often earning six-figure salaries. These positions require extensive experience, advanced degrees, and often involve overseeing large teams or organizations.

What is the difference between Clinical Outreach vs Clinical Coordinator?

AspectClinical OutreachClinical Coordinator
Required CredentialsTypically requires healthcare-related certifications or degrees, such as RN or LPNOften requires nursing or healthcare administration credentials
Work EnvironmentCommunity health settings, outreach programs, clinicsHospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities
Employer & Industry UsageUsed by healthcare organizations for community engagementUsed within healthcare facilities for patient care coordination
Common Search & ComparisonOften compared for roles involving patient engagement outside clinical settingsCompared for roles managing patient flow and care coordination

While both roles involve patient interaction and healthcare settings, Clinical Outreach focuses on community engagement and health promotion outside traditional clinical environments. Clinical Coordinators manage patient care processes within healthcare facilities. Understanding these differences helps in choosing the right career path or job search focus.

How does a Clinical Outreach professional typically collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations?

Clinical Outreach professionals play a vital role in building and maintaining relationships between healthcare facilities and external partners such as clinics, schools, and community organizations. They often spend their days meeting with providers to discuss referral processes, coordinating educational sessions, and gathering feedback to improve services. Collaboration involves clear communication, understanding community needs, and aligning outreach initiatives with organizational goals. This teamwork is essential for expanding patient access to care and enhancing the reputation of the healthcare organization.
