What You'll Do:
The Manager, Floor Operations is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational oversight of the assigned facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient facility operations, effective patient flow, regulatory readiness, and a high-quality patient and staff experience within a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
The Manager, Floor Operations partners closely with clinical and operational leadership to implement strategies that support safe, timely, recovery-oriented care while promoting operational excellence, workforce engagement, and continuous improvement. This position helps foster a collaborative, service-focused culture by modeling visibility, accessibility, accountability, and leadership support across the facility.
This role also offers an exciting opportunity to help support the continued growth and development of Connections Health Solutions' new Loudoun facility, contributing to the establishment of strong operational practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and innovative behavioral health crisis care services from the ground up.
Clinical Operations & Facility Oversight
  • Serves as an operational lead for the facility under the direction of the Director, Clinical Operations and Vice President, Clinical Operations.
  • Supports the planning, implementation, and ongoing management of operational workflows and clinical support functions that promote timely, safe, effective, equitable, and recovery-oriented care delivery.
  • Directs and supports day-to-day facility operations, including inpatient and integrated service operations, patient flow coordination, and operational support across departments.
  • Monitors operational workflows and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, service delivery, and overall facility performance.
  • Collaborates closely with providers, clinical leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure operational standards and service expectations are consistently achieved.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Supports the recruitment, onboarding, development, coaching, performance management, and retention of operational and support staff.
  • Fosters a collaborative, accountable, and service-oriented culture through leadership visibility, staff engagement, coaching, and recognition initiatives.
  • Provides training, guidance, and operational support to staff across clinical and administrative functions while maintaining operational readiness to support staffing coverage needs when necessary.
  • Participates in after-hours operational support coverage on a rotating basis.

Quality, Compliance & Safety
  • Supports implementation and oversight of quality improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness activities, and operational compliance standards.
  • Partners with clinical and operational leadership to maintain readiness for audits, inspections, accreditation reviews, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promotes a culture of safety and continuous improvement by utilizing operational and patient experience data to identify trends, mitigate risks, and support process improvements.
  • Ensures operational processes are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and established service standards.

Financial & Administrative Operations
  • Assists with management of clinic schedules, payroll processes, supply ordering, and operational reporting to support efficient resource utilization and budget performance.
  • Coordinates facility maintenance, environmental needs, and equipment management in collaboration with internal departments and external vendors.
  • Supports operational and administrative initiatives that contribute to financial stewardship, service excellence, and organizational growth.

Patient Experience & Service Excellence
  • Leads efforts to enhance the patient and family experience through service recovery, staff coaching, workflow improvements, and patient satisfaction monitoring.
  • Supports an environment focused on dignity, compassion, responsiveness, and high-quality behavioral health care services.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs all other duties as assigned in support of facility operations, patient care, and organizational initiatives.

What You'll Bring:
  • Associate's Degree in Social Services, Public Health, Business, or related field
  • QMHP credential
  • 2 years of behavioral healthcare work experience
  • 2 years of managerial experience
  • Working knowledge of federal and state behavioral health or hospital operations and regulatory requirements
  • Must be able to perform and certify Safe Clinch and Therapeutic Options techniques
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company's exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
  • State of Virginia Fingerprint Clearance
  • Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services (VA DBHDS) background check
  • Must be able to pass Virginia Department of Social Services (VA DSS) Office of Background Investigations - Central Registry Search

  • Experience in multi-services hospital environment with matrix reporting structures
