Job description

The Chief Crisis Services Officer (CCSO) provides clinical leadership to plan, organize, and direct all aspects of crisis services, fostering superior care, standardizing crisis protocols, developing crisis service strategic goals and program expansion and contributing to the recruitment and retention of crisis staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Directs the planning, organization, and implementation of crisis programs.

· Develops service growth strategies and implementing evidence-based practices.

· Provides leadership and clinical/administrative supervision to clinical, leadership, and professional staff.

· Plans, implements, and monitors program budgets and ensures effective management controls.

· Develops and implements short-term and long-term strategic goals for all crisis programs.

· Develops and implements annual work plans.

· Promotes and fosters partnerships with public and private agencies in order to assure a coordinated system of crisis services.

· Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage crisis service programmatic activities, goals, growth, and quality improvement.

· Develops and implements processes to ensure outcomes are met through data analysis and decision support.

· Acts as a resource on complex cases and provides expert guidance to staff in responding to crisis situations, while ensuring a focus on recovery principles and cultural competency.

· Assists in providing clinical oversight in the delivery of clinical programs designated by the CEO and overall delivery sites in those programs.

· Participates as a member of the Executive Team and complies with established team agreement and participate on other committees/groups as assigned.

· Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

· Knowledge of behavioral health and crisis principles and issues, and of developments in field of behavioral health and crisis management

· Knowledge of key clinical quality indicators.

· Ability to manage time and organize work to ensure efficient performance.

· Ability to communicate with partners, vendors, governing board, executive team, leadership, and/or staff to ensure understanding of the clinical needs of the organization.

· Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team environment.

· Strong conflict resolution skills.

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

· 100% all required training completed on time

· 100% of all policy and procedures read as updated

Note: Additional performance indicators will be developed with CEO after hire

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

· Frequent travel between work sites and meetings (internal & external)

· Use of office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, etc.

· Frequent sitting and occasional bending, stooping, and standing

· Frequent repetitive arm and finger movements on a computer keyboard

· Working in a climate-controlled environment

· Dealing with interruptions and changes in work priorities

· Occasional lifting up to 15 lbs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Master’s Degree in a related field

· At least 7+ years of progressively responsible professional experience in a clinical leadership role

· Licensure as a LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the State of Georgia

· Direct experience in community behavioral health, crisis service, and substance use centers

· Direct experience working with underserved populations

· Proven leadership skills, including ability to effectively influence, motivate, and lead teams of interdisciplinary professionals

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic health record online platforms, and email usage

· Must be able to pass background investigation, drug screen and have good 7year motor vehicle report.
