What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Clinical Implementation, and why are they important?

Thriving in Clinical Implementation requires a solid background in healthcare operations, project management, and often a clinical or health informatics degree. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, clinical workflow tools, and certification such as PMP or Lean Six Sigma is highly valuable. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills help professionals effectively bridge the gap between clinical teams and technology solutions. These capabilities ensure successful adoption of clinical systems, improved patient care processes, and smooth transitions during technology rollouts.

What are some typical challenges faced when onboarding new healthcare technologies in a Clinical Implementation role?

In a Clinical Implementation role, professionals often encounter challenges such as resistance to change from clinical staff, integration issues with existing electronic health record (EHR) systems, and ensuring proper user training. Overcoming these hurdles requires strong communication, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and a proactive approach to troubleshooting technical and workflow-related problems. Building strong relationships with stakeholders and providing ongoing support can help ease the transition and maximize the effectiveness of new technologies.

Job description

About Radformation

Radformation is transforming the way cancer clinics deliver care. Our innovative software automates and standardizes radiation oncology workflows, enabling clinicians to plan and deliver treatments faster, safer, and more consistently, so patients everywhere can receive the same high-quality care.

Our software focuses on three key areas:
  • Time savings through automation.
  • Error reduction through automated systems.
  • Increased quality care through advanced algorithms and workflows.

We are a fully remote, mission-driven team united by a shared goal: to reduce cancerโ€™s global impact and help save more of the 10 million lives it claims each year. Every line of code, every product release, and every conversation with our customers brings us closer to ensuring no patientโ€™s treatment quality depends on where they live.

Why This Role Matters

In this role you will help clinics successfully adopt Radformationโ€™s software and build efficient, safe, and scalable radiation oncology workflows.ย You will work closely with Sales, Product, IT, and Engineering teams to deliver successful implementations, support customers, and continuously improve our products based on real-world clinical feedback.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Partner with Sales to deliver customized product demonstrations to prospective clinics
  • Lead and organize software implementations, including coordinating with internal and customer IT teams
  • Train and mentor new clinic users to ensure successful adoption and long-term success
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues independently and in collaboration with Engineering
  • Host webinars and create training materials to educate clinics and highlight product capabilities
  • Test new software releases and provide feedback to support development and quality assurance
  • Build strong relationships with clinical teams and act as a trusted partner in their workflow optimization
  • Represent Radformation at trade shows and industry events across North America as needed
Required Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical dosimetry experience using Eclipse TPS
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and passion for excellence in patient care
Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years of clinical dosimetry experience
  • Teaching or training experience in dosimetry
  • Customer-facing or customer service experience
  • Project management experience
