Our signature program, Margarets Place (named for Joes mother), establishes safe spaces inside schools where young people receive healing, understanding, and empowerment. Through prevention and intervention, we teach students about healthy relationships, self-care, and how to support their peers. The Role: Clinical Floater

We are looking for a versatile and committed Clinical Floater to join our team in Los Angeles and support our Margaret's Place sites across multiple partner districts. This is a crucial role that ensures our students have consistent access to the clinical support they need.
Locations: Los Angeles, CA (Serving the Santa Monica-Malibu, Bellflower, Compton, Inglewood, and Duarte Unified School Districts)
Your Impact & Core Responsibilities
As a Clinical Floater, you'll be an essential resource, filling critical gaps and ensuring clinical continuity for students:
Provide Direct Support & Coverage: Step in to offer group counseling, drop-in sessions, and crisis support at assigned Margarets Place sites, ensuring no student is left without care when a counselor is unavailable.
Contribute to Content Development: Collaborate with our content team to help develop new, engaging, and intervention-focused clinical materials for youth.
Coordinate Care: Serve as a vital link by coordinating care with external mental health providers to address complex youth emotional health needs.
Be a Trusted Partner: Build strong collaborative relationships with school staff, administration, and mental health providers, attending meetings and representing the Foundations mission.
Maintain Ethical Practice: Ensure strict confidentiality and meticulous record-keeping, upholding the highest standards of clinical practice and compliance.
What You Bring to the Table (Requirements)
Education: Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
Licensure: Active, unrestricted CA-license in a behavioral health discipline (e.g., ACSW, AMFT, LCSW, LMFT, etc.).
Experience: Proven experience working effectively with adolescents in a clinical setting. Experience with school-based programming is a plus!
Commitment: A strong commitment to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive services and a knowledge of systemic issues impacting youth.
Resilience & Empathy: The emotional capacity to engage youth in sensitive conversations about violence, trauma, and traumatization, while maintaining professional boundaries and actively engaging in self-care.
Dynamic Skills: Ability to work independently, exhibit creativity in engaging youth (individually and in groups), and demonstrate flexibility in a demanding school environment.
Compensation & Next Steps
