Position Overview:
Scott Cameron State Farm is seeking a high-energy, relationship-driven Director of Marketing to lead our community outreach, referral partner development, digital marketing, and lead generation efforts.
This is not a desk-only, behind the scenes marketing role. The ideal candidate will spend significant time in and around the community building strategic relationships with real estate professionals, mortgage lenders, auto dealerships, business owners, community organizations, and local influencers while also overseeing our social media presence, marketing campaigns, vendor relationships, and brand awareness initiatives.
Our mission is to protect families through insurance and financial services while becoming the most recognized and trusted insurance agency in our market.
Key Responsibilities:
Community & Business Development
  • Develop and maintain referral relationships within our local market.
  • Attend chamber events, networking groups, community events, and professional association meetings.
  • Identify and coordinate sponsorship opportunities and community partnerships.
  • Represent the agency at after-hours events, seminars, expos, and local functions.
  • Expand agency visibility throughout Ocala and surrounding communities.

Marketing Strategy & Brand Growth
  • Develop and execute annual and quarterly marketing plans.
  • Increase agency brand awareness throughout Marion County.
  • Coordinate community campaigns and local outreach initiatives.
  • Manage marketing budgets and measure ROI on marketing efforts.
  • Track lead generation performance and referral source effectiveness.

Digital Marketing & Social Media
  • Oversee agency presence on all social media platforms
  • Create and schedule engaging content.
  • Monitor engagement, comments, reviews, and online reputation.
  • Coordinate video content and marketing campaigns with agency leadership.
  • Develop campaigns highlighting:
    • Community involvement
    • Team culture
    • Client success stories
    • Educational insurance and financial topics

Event Management
  • Coordinate staffing events.
  • Organize financial education seminars.
  • Plan community outreach initiatives.
  • Manage event logistics, promotion, attendance tracking, and follow-up.

Lead Management & Vendor Oversight
  • Monitor lead performance and ROI.
  • Work with lead vendors and marketing partners.
  • Analyze marketing effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain lead tracking and reporting systems.
  • Provide monthly marketing performance reports to agency leadership.

Leadership & Accountability
  • Collaborate closely with agency ownership and leadership.
  • Establish measurable marketing KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in lead generation and community engagement efforts.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Insurance, financial services, real estate, mortgage, or dealership marketing experience.
  • Event planning experience.
  • CRM and lead management experience.
  • Video content creation and social media advertising experience.
