Job description

Overview
Chronograph was founded to bring next-generation technology to private capital markets. Through our suite of cloud-based analytics and data management solutions, we help many of the world's largest and most sophisticated venture capital, private equity, and credit funds understand their investment performance in unprecedented detail, with over 258,000 private companies and 15,000 private capital funds monitored via our solution suite.
At Chronograph, we get to go "behind the scenes" and work directly with investors who are driving some of the most impactful changes across high growth start-ups, global infrastructure and renewable energy, growth equity, and all other private capital strategies. The firm is backed by Sixth Street Growth, Summit Partners, Carlyle AlpInvest, and Nasdaq Inc., and has seen continuous rapid growth since its founding in 2016. Our client base today includes hundreds of investors and asset managers monitoring more than $5.9 trillion in invested capital with 8 of the 10 largest GPs and 5 of the 10 largest LPs using Chronograph.
The Opportunity
Bring your expertise to a highly collaborative, creative, and innovative team with a market-leading technology product suite. We are seeking a highly motivated Manager to join our Client Solutions team in San Francisco to help oversee customer success, product implementations, relationship management, and strategic undertakings as our international client base continues to rapidly grow.
You will work closely with key stakeholders to support client adoption, best practices, and overall use case health with a focus on a comprehensive and cohesive approach to the client experience. This position will report to the GP Client Solutions Team Lead, with engagement across the organization while you help scale Chronograph's West Coast client solutions division.
Private capital markets investors increasingly turn to Chronograph as the foundational data layer to power their agentic transformations. This role sits at the center of that evolution: you will help our most sophisticated GP clients not just adopt our core platform, but unlock the next generation of intelligent tooling that is reshaping how investment teams manage data, surface insights, and make decisions.
This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented top performer to become directly engaged with several of the world's most sophisticated private equity investors and produce immediate impact within a globally-focused financial technology firm.
As a Manager focused on Client Solutions at Chronograph, you will:
  • Act as a product expert and primary configuration manager for West Coast GP clients, with deep fluency across Chronograph's core platform and AI-powered capabilities
  • Guide clients in adopting ChronoAI, Claude Skills, and other platform features, helping investment teams understand practical applications and unlock measurable workflow value
  • Design and implement Client Success processes and initiatives that reflect the evolving landscape of agentic private capital operations
  • Collaborate with clients on strategic data initiatives, translating complex investment workflows into optimized platform configurations
  • Develop and maintain recommended best practices - including AI adoption frameworks - and deliver supporting materials to a diverse constituent user base
  • Coordinate resources across Chronograph (Client Development, Marketing, Data Operations, Product) to ensure timely completion of client deliverables and alignment around client development initiatives
  • Proactively identify account growth opportunities and strategize with senior leadership to develop compelling client business cases
  • Produce flawless client deliverables to facilitate communication around complex project requirements, and uphold Chronograph brand standards in every client interaction

You will be successful in this role if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience in a professional services environment, ideally consulting, investment banking, private capital investor relations/business development, technology client success, sales engineering, or similar
  • Demonstrated excellence producing time-sensitive deliverables for a sophisticated and exacting client base
  • Curiosity and comfort with foundational models and AI tools (e.g Claude, OpenAI) and evolving technology - you don't need to be an engineer, but you're energized by what AI is making possible in financial services and eager to help clients navigate it
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and attitude - your contributions will make a significant impact on our operations as we expand our footprint
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a high-performance environment and manage multiple priorities with precision
  • Proactive leadership instincts with the drive to identify and act on opportunities without being asked
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel); familiarity with modern data or BI tools is a plus
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • (Nice to have) Prior exposure to private equity, venture capital, or credit fund operations
  • (Nice to have) Experience working with or selling AI-powered software products
  • Positive attitude, sense of humor, and creativity
  • Strong analytical, project leadership, and communication skills

Even if you do not meet all criteria, we would still encourage you to apply or get in touch! Chronograph offers an entrepreneurial environment where you will be able to proactively identify opportunities to develop and strengthen our team.
Why Join Chronograph?
