Job description

The Junkluggers of Pittsburgh is seeking an Operations Manager for our headquarters in Etna, PA. We are seeking a motivated leader to ensure the mission of the Junkluggers is the focal point of the company: customer satisfaction, landfill diversion and sustainability focus. This position requires strong organization skills, communication skills and leadership skills. The Junkluggers partners with nonprofits in the community as well as professionals such as realtors, property managers and professional organizers. We are seeking a "people person" with a positive outlook who is a quick and creative problem solver, enjoys working with a team and will ensure that daily operations are running smooth and efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Assist Franchise Owners in all aspects of operations and marketing initiatives for the company

-Dispatch and track trucks daily

-Liaise with the Appointment Center as needed

-Conduct or coordinate weekly meetings with team

-Drive customer service and communicate with customers quickly and effectively

-Ensure training of all new hires for the position subordinate

-Assist with employee management, job assignments and daily communication within the team

-Ensure all trucks and equipment are in good working condition and are accounted for

-Ensure all decisions made are in the company’s best interest

-Ensure adequate daily staffing and maximize client accommodations

-Provide employee feedback through periodic coaching and evaluations

-Ensure team moral is positive and consistent

-Ensure all expenses are accounted for an under budget

-Ensure all appointments are completed and closed daily for franchise revenue review

-Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are completed

Competencies:

-Must have a positive attitude

-Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

-Must have a full understanding of all other subordinate position duties

-Must meet all competencies for subordinate positions

-Must have a full understanding of all resource locations in current territory

-Must have a full understanding of truck operation, care and general maintenance

-Must have a positive working relationship with all employees and management

-Must be available after hours and on call during days off

Job Requirements:

-Available 24/7 for emergencies

-Valid drivers license with an acceptable motor vehicle record

-Pennsylvania DOT Medical Card

-Must be able to lift 50 lbs continuously
