Position Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Operations Manager who has fully owned business operations and P&L performance, not simply supported them. This role requires a leader who has built teams from the ground up, driven measurable outcomes, and operated with true accountability in a high-growth, multi-location environment.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in immigration or legal services operations, with a strong understanding of case workflows, USCIS processes, and client lifecycle management, combined with the ability to scale systems, teams, and financial performance.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Executive Management:
Represent the firm in strategic partnerships and business development initiatives
Partner with leadership on firm-wide strategy, growth, and expansion
Financial Management & Accountability:
Own and drive full P&L performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability
Create financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support growth and expansion decisions
Ensure financial accountability across departments by linking operational performance to revenue outcomes
Use KPIs, dashboards, and data to drive decision-making and improve performance
Multi-Office Operations & Coordination:
Oversee operations across Frederick, Miami, San Diego, Baltimore, and DC offices
Standardize processes and ensure consistency in execution and client experience
Build scalable infrastructure to support continued growth
Leadership Team Management & Development:
Facilitate collaboration between Legal Director, Deputy Ops Manager, Office Administrator, and HR
Build and scale teams from the ground up where needed
Establish clear accountability structures, performance expectations, and KPIs tied to outcomes
Human Resources Strategy & Culture:
Partner with HR Manager on strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition
Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
Technology Strategy & Systems Optimization:
Own firm-wide technology strategy and infrastructure decisions
Implement systems and automation to improve efficiency, reporting, and scalability
Drive process improvements across intake, case management, and client lifecycle


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive operations, business management, or COO-level leadership experience
  • 5+ years managing multi-site operations or multiple locations
  • Proventrack recordmanaging budgets of $5M+ and leading teams of 20+ people
  • Professional services industry experiencerequired(law firms, consulting, accounting strongly preferred)
  • Experience scaling organizations from 20-50+ employees
  • Experience owning operational outcomes with real accountability and cross-functional leadership


Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related fieldrequired
  • MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
  • Professional certifications (PMP, Six Sigma, etc.) a plus


Preferred Qualifications

Direct experience in an immigration law firm
Familiarity with USCIS, EOIR, and immigration case processes
Experience with legal practice management systems (MyCase, Clio, etc.)
Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred
Experience in high-growth environments (2x5x scaling)
