Position Summary

The Client Relationship Manager (CRM) is a strategic account leader responsible for building trusted client partnerships, driving retention, and growing revenue through proactive service communication and enhancement sales. This role serves as the primary client contact and is accountable for ensuring all client activity, proposals, service requests, and communication are accurately tracked in Aspire to maintain transparency and alignment between sales, service, and production teams.

The Client Relationship Manager partners closely with Operations Managers and branch leadership to deliver exceptional service, maintain strong client relationships, and support long-term account growth. A successful Client Relationship Manager brings strong relationship-building skills, financial awareness, operational partnership, and the ability to identify opportunities that create value for clients and the business. This team member manages a portfolio generally ranging from $1.5M to $2M in annual revenue.

Key Responsibilities

As one of our Client Relationship Managers, you will have the following areas of responsibility:

Client Engagement & Retention

  • Serve as the strategic relationship owner for assigned accounts, acting as the primary point of contact, visible face of the company, and trusted advisor for clients
  • Develop, build, nurture, and maintain exceptional client relationships across a portfolio of commercial landscape clients while serving as the primary relationship and escalation contact
  • Partner closely with Operations teams to ensure service readiness, proactive communication, and effective problem-solving to support both strategic and day-to-day client needs
  • Promote a high level of client retention by proactively addressing concerns, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to mitigate client turnover and support renewal success
  • Partner with Business Development Managers to support successful client account transitions and ensure client expectations align with operational delivery
  • Create Executive Summaries outlining issues, opportunities, and recommended solutions, presenting findings to clients and leadership as applicable
  • Lead interactions internally and externally to deliver expected service outcomes while achieving a high level of client delight

Growth & Revenue Expansion

  • Identify enhancement and upsell opportunities during site visits and routine client interactions
  • Partner with operations teams to develop accurate enhancement proposals, pricing, and scope recommendations
  • Monitor proposal pipelines, follow-up activities, and close rates to support revenue growth
  • Support branch growth initiatives through disciplined account management and opportunity development

Operational Partnership & Service Coordination

  • Partner closely with Operations Managers, Production Managers, Superintendents, and Crew Leaders to align priorities and ensure service consistency
  • Utilize Aspire work tickets and job notes to communicate client expectations, service updates, and operational priorities
  • Participate in production meetings to review upcoming work, client feedback, and enhancement schedules
  • Support issue resolution by coordinating with operations teams to address client concerns and service challenges

Qualifications & Core Competencies

  • Five or more years of client service, account management, property management, or related B2B service industry experience required
  • Experience using Aspire or similar CRM or service management platforms preferred
  • Proven ability to build strong client relationships and grow accounts through relationship-based selling
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a polished and professional presence
  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to understand client needs and respond effectively
  • Financial awareness with the ability to understand pricing, job costing, and margin performance
  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through consistently
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams to align service execution with client expectations
  • Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and drive revenue expansion
  • Valid driver's license required and ability to travel locally to client sites

Driver Qualifications

To qualify as a Driver, in addition to the above, you must:

  • Possess a valid driver's license issued in the United States for a minimum of three years
  • Maintain a clean driving record for at least three years
  • Successfully pass a drug screening
