Project Manager – Large Commercial Construction

Location: San Francisco, CA

Build Landmark Projects in the Bay Area

A leading commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, ground-up projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final completion.
  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, change orders, and financial performance.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and contract documents.
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress updates to stakeholders.
  • Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects valued at $30M+.
  • Background in one or more of the following project types:
  • Office Buildings
  • Healthcare
  • Higher Education
  • Mixed-Use
  • Life Sciences
  • Hospitality
  • Corporate Campuses
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and project controls.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar construction software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
