Responsibilities
  • Manages the day-to-day activities for a moderately complex Technical or non-Technical project.
  • Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
  • Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
  • Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
  • May conduct performance/project analyses to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
  • Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
  • Plans and executes all aspects of project management for assigned IT projects and assists the Government to meet contract performance objectives.
  • Responsible for all aspects of project management from requirements to delivery.
  • Conducts regular meetings with Government leads to deliver clear and concise project status updates to include all relevant elements of project management.
  • Responsible for producing all project management documentation for the life of the project.

Qualifications
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience supporting or leading IT projects utilizing project management principles.
  • 1+ years' experience as the lead project manager overseeing IT projects with a proven track record of meeting project deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Expert in creating, executing, and documenting project plans from requirements gathering to charter approval to schedule to delivery.
  • At least one of the following certifications is preferred: Agile Certified Practitioner (formally PMI-ACP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified associate in project management (CAPM), CompTIA Project+, or other certification exemplifying Project Management skills.
