Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Employment Specialist for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Maryville, Tennessee. This relationship-driven role combines recruiting, staffing, customer service, inside sales, and business development to help job seekers find meaningful work while helping local employers solve workforce challenges.
The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, people-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced staffing environment. Success in this position requires strong recruiting execution, consistent outbound activity, excellent follow-through, and the ability to build lasting relationships with both candidates and local clients.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Employment Specialist manages the full candidate placement process while also supporting client development and account growth. Responsibilities include sourcing, interviewing, placing, onboarding, associate follow-up, client communication, outbound prospecting, lead generation, job-order management, and community relationship building.
RECRUITING & PLACEMENT
Recruit, interview, and place candidates in positions aligned with their skills and career goals
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified associates across multiple industries and skill levels
Conduct candidate screens and interviews
Coordinate client interviews
Coordinate onboarding and assignment details
Conduct employment verifications and reference checks
Maintain regular communication with placed associates
Follow up throughout assignments to support retention and long-term success
Maintain accurate candidate and placement records
CLIENT SERVICE
Partner with local businesses to understand hiring needs and workforce challenges
Gather detailed job requirements
Develop effective recruiting and staffing solutions
Fill job orders quickly while maintaining quality standards
Provide consistent client updates throughout the hiring process
Conduct client visits
Participate in safety tours
Attend relationship-building meetings
Proactively support client satisfaction

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & INSIDE SALES
