Overview
The Director of Wealth Market Development is responsible for sales strategies and revenue growth through leading a client facing/sales production Wealth Advisory team. This role represents Trustmark Wealth as a senior leader within the company to expand brand recognition and develop market growth strategies and new business opportunities. The Director of Market Development is responsible for defining and deploying the wealth planning delivery model internally and externally, through the design of a scalable, efficient, and profitable business model. This role leads, oversees and collaborates with other Wealth leadership to pursue thoughtful deliverables and processes for the client experience and business development functions of Wealth.
Responsibilities
  • Crosstrain, lead and develop team of associates to promote maximum productivity, engagement, and overall contribution to strategic organizational goals.
  • Develop and execute a growth plan that is scalable to grow Wealth Management AUM and provide comprehensive Wealth services.
  • Accountable for an overall market sales and revenue goal strategies that should be met through the acquisition of new clients from internal and external sources, and the retention and expansion of the existing client base for other Wealth Management solutions.
  • Lead the development of the Wealth message and sales strategies to grow Wealth revenue.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, development, and retention of a highly performing Wealth Advisory team to accomplish growth objectives and high client service.
  • Responsible for direct oversight of the Advisory team as it relates to meeting service and activity targets beyond new business production, including the number of internal and external referrals and COI development.
  • Ensure pricing discipline and profitability on fiduciary client relationships together with business unit managers and explore new business opportunities that align with Wealth objectives.
  • Maintain a high level of visibility within the company to educate and bring brand awareness with an expectation of high professionalism and integrity.
  • Serve on Wealth committees assigned.
  • Associates are expected to perform all additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In a business-related field and 12 concurrent years of Wealth Management sales and service experience; or
    Graduate Degree In a business related discipline and 10 concurrent years of Wealth Management sales and service experience.
  • Proven track record of excellence in sales production and/or management within a wealth management business.
  • Sound judgment and ability to make decisions and guide others to fulfill decision requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and interdepartmental collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strong in relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills
  • Commitment to integrity, fiduciary responsibility, and client-first service
  • Propensity to achieve high client service levels.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Business Administration, Juris Doctorate or other advanced degree.
  • CWS, CFP, CTFA, or CPA
