NOW HIRING: Commercial Project Manager/Program Manager

5+ Years of Commercial Construction Project Management Experience Required

CG Jones Construction is a growing commercial general contractor specializing in site development, commercial building construction, underground utilities, and concrete construction. We're looking for experienced professionals who want to build their careers with a company that values safety, quality, teamwork, and professionalism.

Our projects are primarily located throughout Northwest Alabama, with an expanding presence in Northeast Mississippi and Southern Tennessee.

We're seeking an experienced Commercial Project Manager with a strong background in Program Management to oversee multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can effectively manage schedules, budgets, subcontractors, clients, and project teams while maintaining exceptional communication and delivering successful projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects simultaneously from contract award through project closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
  • Lead project planning, buyout, procurement, and subcontract administration
  • Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders
  • Monitor project costs, profitability, and overall financial performance
  • Identify project risks and develop proactive solutions
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Mentor assistant project managers and help strengthen project management processes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects or construction programs simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and contract administration
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings and specifications
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, cost control, procurement, and change management
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and construction management software
  • Bachelor's degree in Building Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
