You don't have to live in a major metro to play at a major level!

OTO Development is seeking an experienced Director of Sales Support to lead and elevate sales teams across a diverse portfolio of award winning hotels. The ideal candidate is a driven hospitality professional located outside of a major city--roughly within an hour of a regional airport, who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment. If you bring strong leadership, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for the hotel industry, we want to meet you!

Position: Director of Sales Support

Department: Sales & Marketing

Exempt

Position Reports to: Regional Vice President of Sales

OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Director of Sales Support.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a highly adaptable and results-driven Director of Sales Support to join our corporate sales team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated hospitality professional who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys traveling. The Director of Sales Support will serve as an interim sales leader, supporting hotel properties across the portfolio during times of transition-such as leaves of absence, vacancies, or special projects. This role requires up to 90% travel and involves hands-on leadership, revenue-driving initiatives, and strategic collaboration with on-site and regional teams.

What will you be doing most days?

  • Serve as the acting Director of Sales or Sales Leader at assigned hotel properties during interim periods.
  • Maintain continuity of sales operations and client relationships during leadership gaps or transitions.
  • Execute existing sales strategies and develop new plans tailored to each property's needs, market conditions, and business mix.
  • Drive top-line revenue by managing key accounts, conducting sales calls, and leading team efforts.
  • Collaborate with revenue management and hotel leadership to optimize performance and pricing strategies.
  • Support onboarding and training of new sales team members at assigned properties.
  • Lead or contribute to special corporate or regional projects, including pre-opening support, system implementations, brand transitions, or sales audits.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and documentation during each assignment, ensuring smooth handoffs and knowledge transfer.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador and uphold brand standards across all assignments.

What are the requirements for this position?

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience, including experience as a Director of Sales or similar role.
  • Proven ability to quickly assess a property's sales operations and adapt to a variety of brand standards and market types.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 90% of the time, often on short notice.
  • Proficiency in hotel sales systems (e.g., Delphi.fdc, Opera, CI/TY), CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Flexibility and professionalism to represent the company at various properties across brands and markets.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience with multiple hotel brands (e.g., Hilton, Marriott, IHG, Hyatt).
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently in high-pressure situations.
  • Enthusiastic team player who embraces change and thrives on new challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates.
