Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing Southern Nevada office. HMC focuses its practice on Industrial Insurance Litigation, representing a diverse client base that includes employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators.


This position offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated attorney to build and refine litigation skills while working closely with experienced practitioners in a highly specialized area of law. Compensation:

$100,000+ annually


Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in court and before government agencies.
  • Draft legal documents and correspondence, as well as conduct thorough legal research on each case.
  • Strategize and plan with clients and cases, ensuring meticulous attention to detail in every case.
  • Make sure that case files are up-to-date and organized by daily use of the electronic case management system, Filevine.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships, not just representation.
  • Pay attention to industry trends and developments, while staying informed on Nevada statutes and regulations.
  • Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment and under multiple deadlines.
  • Must be able to meet or exceed the monthly billing requirement while using electronic legal billing software, Clio.

Qualifications:
  • Member in good standing with the State Bar of Nevada.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Adaptable, flexible, reliable, and accountable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team while also working independently.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism, energy, and performance.
  • Must reside in Southern Nevada as this is an in office position.
