The Opportunity
The Client Solutions Analyst supports Hamilton Lane's client relationship and business development efforts across private markets strategies. In this role, you will work closely with client solutions and relationship managers to deliver high-quality reporting, presentations, analyses, and other materials that help clients build and manage their private markets portfolios. This role offers exposure to institutional and wealth clients, cross-functional collaboration with investment and operations teams, and the opportunity to develop deep knowledge of private markets through on-the-job learning and formal training.
Responsibilities
  • Client support and service
    • Partner with client solutions and relationship managers on day-to-day client deliverables and special projects.
    • Help coordinate client and prospect meetings, including preparing materials, tracking follow-ups, and documenting key outcomes.
    • Respond to client questions and ad-hoc requests in a timely and professional manner, escalating where appropriate.
  • Reporting and presentations
    • Prepare recurring and ad-hoc client reports, exhibits, and templates using data from internal systems.
    • Assist in the creation and refinement of presentation materials for client reviews, prospects, and internal discussions.
    • Contribute to RFPs and other marketing or sales support documents as needed.
  • Data, analysis, and portfolio support
    • Maintain accurate information on client portfolios, activities, and pipeline in internal systems and tools.
    • Aggregate and analyze data related to client mandates, portfolios, fundraising, and business development activities.
    • Review and validate portfolio or client-level information (e.g., reports, statements, analytics) to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and process support
    • Work with internal teams (such as investment, portfolio management, legal, research, reporting, and operations) to gather inputs for client materials.
    • Learn and effectively use Hamilton Lane technology tools and data resources to support efficient production of client deliverables.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of client solutions processes, tools, and templates.

Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S., B.B.A. or equivalent).
  • 1-5 years of post-graduate experience in financial services, asset management, private markets, or a closely related industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor information for different audiences.
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort working with numerical data and reports.
  • Proven organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (Outlook a plus).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, including with colleagues in other offices and time zones.
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling confidential information.
  • Demonstrated client-service orientation and willingness to take ownership of deliverables.

Nice-to-have qualifications
  • Experience specifically in private markets/private equity, private credit, or private wealth.
  • Familiarity with portfolio reporting, performance measurement, or financial statement review.
  • Experience using CRM, reporting, or data visualization tools to track activities and prepare materials.
  • Exposure to RFPs, due diligence questionnaires, or institutional sales/consultant interactions.
  • Additional language skills supporting client or prospect interactions in specific regions.
  • Evidence of a proactive, resourceful, and entrepreneurial mindset, including comfort working independently while knowing when to seek guidance.
