Job description

Have you worked in Sales/ Account Management in Record Retrieval, Legal Services, Office Products, or Home Health/ Hospice? If so, this Account Manager opportunity with ABI Document Support Services could be a great fit!
 

The territory is the Mid-West and it is highly preferred the at the candidate live in Illinois, Michigan, or Ohio due to the frequent travel there. This is a remote position with about 50% of travel out in the field, which will mainly include Illinois, Michigan, and Ohio.

As an Account Manager at ABI, you will play a critical role in fostering and growing relationships with an established client base, primarily within law firms and insurance-related organizations. This is a relationship-driven position where success is rooted in trust, credibility, and delivering value to clients.

You will deepen existing partnerships, identify client needs, and proactively uncover opportunities for additional business. While this is not a high-volume cold-calling role, you should be comfortable introducing new solutions and asking for expanded business as a natural extension of strong client relationships.

Compensation

  • Competitive base salary plus performance-based incentives
  • Opportunity to earn up to 20% of base salary through account growth and achievement of key metrics

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with existing client accounts
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client needs and aligning ABI solutions accordingly
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand services within current accounts
  • Confidently and appropriately ask for additional business once relationships are established
  • Conduct client meetings, trainings, and product demonstrations (including onboarding clients to ABI systems)
  • Perform regular account reviews and provide strategic recommendations for growth
  • Engage in outbound outreach to existing clients and targeted prospective firms
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, pipeline, and opportunities in Salesforce or CRM system
  • Ensure client engagement, satisfaction, and adoption of ABI platforms

Performance Expectations

Success in this role is measured by your ability to grow existing accounts while maintaining strong client relationships, including:

  • Meeting or exceeding referral and revenue growth goals
  • Consistent client engagement through calls, meetings, and trainings
  • Expansion of services within assigned accounts
  • Onboarding new firms and increasing platform adoption
  • 2–5 years of experience in account management, customer success, business development, or relationship management
    • (Candidates with 5–10 years of experience from adjacent industries are also encouraged to apply)
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and grow business through consultative conversations
  • Comfort with asking for additional business in a professional and value-driven manner
  • Experience managing multiple accounts and driving account growth
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM tools preferred
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented
