Business Client Services Specialist
Our firm is rapidly growing and we are seeking a self-motivated person who wants to join a dynamic, growing company. We are currently seeking to fulfill a full-time position in Lexington, KY. Our Business Client Services Specialist will be responsible for supporting numerous areas of the Business Insurance Department and providing exceptional customer service to our current clients and new prospects when they call in for assistance. This role will work with a dynamic range of industries such as construction, manufacturing, and emergency services.
Insurance industry or agency experience and knowledge is not required but preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Assist account managers with servicing claims, billing inquiries, late payments, cancellations, non-renewals, refinancing, etc.
  • Process requests for auto ID cards, evidence of insurance, certificates of liability, etc.
  • Send updated auto ID cards to renewing clients.
  • Process endorsements/change requests upon renewal and throughout policy year.
  • Create applications/cancellation requests for new or existing policies.
  • Assemble/mail renewal materials and policies to clients.
  • Help develop and prepare marketing and renewal proposals for clients and prospects, including summaries of insurance.
  • Assist account manager in renewal evaluations, including highlighting coverage and pricing differences year over year.
  • Learn the quoting systems of the various insurance companies utilized to assist Account Managers in quoting, renewal assembly, billing, etc.
  • Process incoming mail and email correspondence, attaching relevant documentation to client records in EPIC.
  • Promptly answer and return phone calls.
  • Process agency billed transactions and related client account activity.
  • Seek ways to improve overall efficiencies and processes within the department.

Requirements
  • College education or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to multiโ€task and handle heavy workload with minimal supervision; able to self-check for accuracy; and independently research and analyze.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines and working with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with others (clients, colleagues, carrier partners) to explain complex issues, interpret complex information, and respond appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create, analyze, and manipulate reports and spreadsheets.
  • Ability to step beyond the basics of the technologies we use in order to find better ways to utilize them and train others to learn those practices.
