Job description

Position Overview

The Client Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of hospital clients. This role is responsible for supporting client relationships, investigating account-related issues, reconciling account information, analyzing reports, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure account accuracy and client satisfaction.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both people and data, balancing client communication with analytical problem-solving and account research.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support an assigned portfolio of hospital clients, serving as a primary point of contact for questions, requests, and issue resolution.
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication, follow-up, and ongoing account support.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies, payment variances, balance concerns, and account maintenance requests.
  • Review, reconcile, and validate account information across multiple systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute client reporting related to account activity and performance.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, or data integrity concerns and partner with internal teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to review open items, account concerns, reporting results, and operational updates.
  • Collaborate with Operations, IT, Finance, and other internal departments to resolve complex client issues.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions, account updates, and issue resolutions.
  • Assist with special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvement efforts.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in client support, account management, customer success, financial services, healthcare operations, banking, billing, or a related field.
  • Experience managing ongoing client relationships, assigned accounts, or a book of business.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve account-related issues.
  • Experience reviewing reports, account data, payment information, or financial records.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain information clearly to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests and manage competing deadlines independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with account reconciliations, billing support, payment investigations, or financial operations.
  • Experience working with healthcare, revenue cycle, patient accounts, banking, financial services, logistics, transportation payables, or customer account management.
  • Experience analyzing reports and identifying discrepancies within account or payment data.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred but not required.
