About the Position

The Senior Accounting Manager owns day-to-day accounting. You will work closely with the CFO, who provides strategic oversight and support.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone who brings strong construction or contracting accounting experience to a growing organization, thrives in a multi-entity environment, and takes ownership. The role offers significant exposure to Clean Royalties leadership and private equity sponsors.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Own the full month-end close process
  • Maintain the general ledger, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and manage intercompany eliminations
  • Manage fixed asset schedules and depreciation

Job Cost & Project Accounting

  • Maintain job cost tracking by project
  • Prepare WIP schedules and apply percentage-of-completion accounting
  • Coordinate with project managers and field teams

Accounts Receivable & Payable

Oversee customer billing and collections

Approve vendor invoices and subcontractor payments

Maintain vendor list, credit card and expense reconciliation, and annual 1099s


Treasury & Compliance

  • Manage daily cash positioning and intercompany cash transfers
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain payment approval controls
  • Coordinate with the external stakeholders on tax and compliance matters
Requirements:


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, with meaningful exposure to construction, contracting, or project-based industries
  • Demonstrated understanding of job costing, WIP schedules, and percentage-of-completion accounting
  • Multi-entity experience
  • CPA not required but is a plus; strong technical accounting foundation is expected
  • Strong proficiency with NetSuite Oracle ERP


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction/project-based accounting principles
  • Meticulous attention to detail combined with a process-oriented mindset
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Clear communicator
