What is the highest paid cleaning job?

In the cleaning industry, specialized roles such as industrial or commercial cleaning supervisors and managers tend to have the highest salaries. These positions often require experience, leadership skills, and sometimes certifications, and they can earn significantly more than entry-level cleaning jobs like residential or basic commercial cleaning.

What does exterior cleaning consist of?

Exterior cleaning for the job involves cleaning building exteriors such as walls, windows, roofs, and surfaces using tools like pressure washers, brushes, and cleaning solutions. It often requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and may involve safety training and certifications. The goal is to remove dirt, grime, mold, and other buildup to improve appearance and maintain property integrity.

Is $20 an hour good for house cleaning?

For an exterior cleaning job, earning $20 an hour is generally considered average or slightly above average in many regions. Pay rates can vary based on experience, location, and the complexity of the cleaning tasks, but this rate often reflects entry-level or part-time positions in the industry.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Exterior Cleaning Technician, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Exterior Cleaning Technician, you need knowledge of cleaning techniques, safe chemical handling, and experience with pressure washing or similar equipment, often gained through on-the-job training or vocational courses. Familiarity with power washers, ladders, safety harnesses, and eco-friendly cleaning solutions is typically required. Attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication with clients help professionals stand out in this role. These skills ensure effective, safe, and customer-focused service, which is essential for maintaining property value and client satisfaction.

Is exterior cleaning profitable?

Exterior cleaning is generally a profitable job due to high demand for services like window, pressure, and roof cleaning. Profitability depends on factors such as equipment costs, pricing strategies, and customer volume, with many operators earning a sustainable income by building a regular client base. Skills in marketing and efficient service delivery can also enhance profitability for exterior cleaning professionals.

What are some common challenges faced in exterior cleaning roles, and how are they typically addressed?

Exterior cleaning professionals often encounter challenges such as working in varying weather conditions, handling high or hard-to-reach areas, and dealing with stubborn stains or build-up. Teams typically address these by using specialized equipment like pressure washers, extension poles, and safety harnesses, as well as following strict safety protocols. Regular training and teamwork are essential to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and safely, and many companies provide ongoing support and education to help staff stay updated on best practices.

Job description

H2Whoa Exterior Cleaning is looking for a dependable, motivated Exterior Cleaning Technician to join our growing team.

We're a locally owned exterior cleaning company serving homeowners throughout Wake County. Because we're a small business, every employee has a direct impact on our reputation. We believe our success comes from treating customers exceptionally well and delivering quality work on every job.

If you enjoy staying active, working outdoors, and want to grow alongside a company that's just getting started, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Perform house washing, driveway and concrete cleaning, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, and other exterior cleaning services.
  • Safely operate professional pressure washing and soft washing equipment.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners before, during, and after each job.
  • Assist with distributing door hangers, yard signs, and other local marketing materials.
  • Help keep equipment, vehicles, and the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently.
  • Assist with other day-to-day business needs as they arise.
  • Work directly alongside and report directly to the owner, so responsibilities may change from day to day as the business continues to grow.

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in North Carolina weather.
  • Clean-cut, professional appearance.
  • Well-spoken and comfortable talking with customers.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Detail-oriented and takes pride in doing quality work.
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders when needed.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
  • Experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right person.

Pay

Pay is based on experience.

Performance-based raises and advancement opportunities are available as the company grows.

Why Work With Us?

This isn't a job where you'll be standing inside all day. You'll be outside, staying active, learning new skills, meeting homeowners, and helping build a growing local business from the ground up.

The work itself isn't overly difficult, but it does require someone who isn't afraid to work hard, stay productive, and take pride in doing things the right way. We care much more about your attitude, professionalism, and willingness to learn than years of experience.

If you're dependable, enjoy working outdoors, and want the opportunity to grow with a company where your work truly matters, we'd love to meet you.
