Job description

Overview
We are seeking to fill the role of Claims Support Specialist. The ideal candidate enjoys collaborating with clients, industry partners and internal teams to maximize outcomes for homeowners.
Responsibilities
• Prepare claim filing for all agencies on acquired or sold properties.
• Complete monthly process control audits and provide results to management.
• Assist with monthly vendor audits and provide results to management.
• Resolve escalations from team members within the Team Lead's scope of responsibility.
• Assist with training for incoming and existing employees.
• Assist in maintaining department job aids and procedures.
• Review exception report for system data integrity and provide trends to management when applicable.
• Assisting with research and preparing file package for internal and external audits.
• Draft written correspondence to internal lines of business and create good working relationships to ensure quick resolution of escalated tasks.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of experience in default mortgage servicing and/or mortgage insurance claims and/or the legal field.
• Strong knowledge of accepted business practices in the mortgage industry and understanding of claims processing.
• Strong knowledge of foreclosure processes and guidelines.
• LPS-MSP (Mortgage Servicing Platform) experience.
• Ability to manage time and priorities.
• Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues.
• Ability to work independently and effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and by telephone.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications, specifically, Excel and Word.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

• 1+ years of leadership experience preferred.
