As a Claims Analyst at FMH, you will support the claims function by reviewing, analyzing, and auditing claims to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with RMA and company guidelines. You will assist in determining claim validity and settlement within established authority while providing guidance and support to adjusters and internal teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be considered for this role, you will need the following:

  • Experience: Five to seven years of job-related experience, preferably in claims and/or crop insurance.
  • Education: High School diploma required; Associates/Bachelor's highly preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, most notably Word and Excel. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, and volume required. Strong attention to detail and time management skills required. Previous experience with crop insurance claims desired.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews and analyzes claims to verify coverage, liability, and accuracy of reported information.
  • Audits claim files to ensure compliance with RMA regulations and company policies.
  • Communicates with adjusters, claimants, and internal stakeholders to obtain required documentation and clarify claim details.
  • Provides recommendations to adjusters regarding claim handling and appropriate next steps.
  • Supports claim settlement activities within defined authority limits.
  • Identifies discrepancies, errors, or potential issues and take appropriate action or escalate as needed.
  • Provides backup support to Claims Reporting Center and Claims Support functions.
  • Contributes to process improvements and assists with departmental projects.
