Job description

Job Title: Insurance & Risk Program Specialist

Location: Chino, CA

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

About the Role

We are looking for an Insurance & Risk Program Specialist to support the development and management of our delivery partner insurance and risk program. This role will help review insurance coverage, monitor compliance across delivery partners, support claims management, and work with internal teams, brokers, carriers, and external partners to reduce operational risk and improve insurance program efficiency.

The ideal candidate has experience in commercial insurance, transportation insurance, fleet insurance, claims handling, or risk management. Experience with commercial auto liability, general liability, workersโ€™ compensation, and high-frequency claims environments is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Review and validate certificates of insurance, policy documents, coverage limits, and insurance terms for delivery partners and vendors.

Monitor insurance compliance across delivery partners and follow up on missing, expired, or insufficient insurance documents.

Identify coverage gaps and work with partners, brokers, and carriers to resolve deficiencies.

Support claims management, including tracking claims activity, coordinating with insurance carriers and adjusters, and following up on claim status.

Analyze claim trends, cost drivers, and risk exposure related to delivery operations, fleet activity, driver incidents, and vendor performance.

Assist in evaluating insurance program structure, coverage requirements, limits, and cost-control opportunities.

Work with internal legal, operations, and finance teams on claims, disputes, risk mitigation, and insurance-related requirements.

Maintain accurate insurance and claims records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Support the development of internal policies, procedures, escalation workflows, and corrective action processes.

Communicate professionally with external partners, insurance brokers, carriers, adjusters, and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in commercial insurance, claims management, risk management, insurance brokerage, carrier claims, or related fields.

Experience with commercial auto, fleet insurance, transportation insurance, general liability, or workersโ€™ compensation is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with certificates of insurance, policy terms, coverage limits, endorsements, and insurance compliance review.

Experience handling or supporting claims, especially auto, fleet, logistics, delivery, or high-frequency claims, is a strong plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, coverage gaps, claim patterns, and cost-control opportunities.

Good communication skills and ability to work with brokers, carriers, adjusters, legal teams, operations teams, and external partners.

Detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and comfortable working with insurance documents and compliance records.

Experience in logistics, transportation, last-mile delivery, 3PL, Amazon DSP, FedEx Ground contractor, or fleet operations is a plus.

Bachelorโ€™s degree preferred but not required.
