Learn more about why you should join our team at www.sled.sc.gov.   General Responsibility Within the Non-Criminal Justice Information Services (NCJIS) Unit, function as the Agency Coordinator (AC) for SLED and serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for vendor/contractor certification throughout the state of South Carolina

Ensure compliance with personnel security screening requirements of vendors/contractors, as set forth in the FBI CJIS Security Policy, as well as compliance of vendors/contractors and personnel working under a contract with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) requiring unescorted physical and/or logical access to a physically secure location where Criminal Justice Information (CJI) is maintained. Specific Duties Serve as the Agency Coordinator for SLED, managing agreements and vetting documents of SLED-contracted vendors/contractors and applicable personnel. Coordinate CJIS and IT vendor implementation, with an emphasis on performing as liaison between the user agency, SLED CJIS, the SLED Help Desk, the SLED ISO/GRC, and other entities within SLED Information Technology and SLED CJIS Technology and Compliance.

Ensure proper screening and training of SLED-contracted vendor/contractor personnel for the duration of the associated contract. Maintain up-to- date records of all SLED-contracted vendor/contractor personnel and ensure removal of access when it is no longer needed. Serve as the primary POC for local agency ACs in matters pertaining to security (Physical, Personnel, Information Technology) of various CJIS and IT vendor companies and systems to ensure adherence to the FBI CJIS Security Policy and other state and federal guidelines.

Train and assist local ACs to facilitate the vetting and training of their vendor/contractor personnel and ensure compliance with the FBI CJIS Security Policy. Coordinate with SLED-contracted vendor/contractor POCs to schedule appointments for personnel to be fingerprinted by SLED AFIS for Security Awareness purposes. Work alongside unit members to expand upon current auditing and training curriculum as well as create new documents to reflect necessary policy and procedure.

Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience. Basic knowledge and work experience with requirements of procedures of the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy, the FBI CJIS Security Addendum, and/or other related programs and policies. Must be able to become NCIC certified within the first 6-months of hire.

Must be able to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels. Must be able to organize and ensure necessary documents are accounted for. Position may require limited state-wide travel, as needed.
