Role Description The Remote Civil Litigation Associate is a full-time role responsible for supporting and managing civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and revising pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses; conducting legal research and analysis; and preparing memoranda and case strategy documents. The associate will assist with depositions, including preparing outlines, coordinating with clients and witnesses, and reviewing transcripts, as well as communicating with courts regarding filings, scheduling, and case management. This remote role requires proactive case monitoring, collaboration with partners and staff via digital platforms, and timely responses to client and team communications to ensure efficient, high-quality representation.

  • Strong foundation in civil Law, including procedural and substantive issues relevant to litigation.
  • Experience drafting and responding to Motions, pleadings, and other core litigation documents.
  • Proficiency in legal Research, case analysis, and application of statutes, regulations, and precedent.
  • Familiarity with conducting and supporting Depositions, including preparation and review of testimony.
  • Experience interacting with Courts, managing filings, deadlines, and rules of civil procedure.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction in good standing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote environment, with reliable technology, time management, and collaboration skills.
  • Prior civil litigation or clerkship experience is preferred, particularly in motion practice and discovery.
