Job description

Overview
The Civil Engineering Technologist in the Site Development & Planning division will generate and manage comprehensive construction documents, plan sets, and design packages across various phases of land development. This is a full-time position paid bi-weekly on an hourly basis.

Parkhill is one of the largest architectural and engineering firms in the Southwest with 15 offices located throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
  • Generate and manage comprehensive construction documents, plan sets, and design packages across various phases of land development
  • Use computerized design software and other relevant computerized tools to prepare design assignments
  • Interpret civil designs to create detailed dimensional drawings and layouts using CAD and GIS software
  • Review development applications, building permits, and zoning bylaws to ensure adherence to local ordinances and codes
  • Make arithmetic computations using standard civil engineering formulas
  • Assist with assembling and modifying standard site development detail sheets

Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of Civil Engineering experience, with an emphasis on Texas land development and site design
  • Advanced proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Preferred experience with ArcGIS and Bluebeam Revu
  • Understanding of Texas municipal infrastructure design standards, drainage criteria, and site development feasibility
  • Possess the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of team members
