Job description

HGA is seeking a part-time Civil Engineering Intern to support operations in Ruston, Louisiana. The Intern will assist civil and structural engineers on a variety of industrial and site development projects, gaining experience in drafting, calculations, permitting support, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with preparing civil drawings, site layouts, and structural sketches
  • Support the development of engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and technical reports
  • Research codes, standards, and technical requirements for project managers or engineers
  • Help collect, organize, and update project documentation
  • Participate in department meetings and collaborate with civil/structural team members
Required Qualifications
  • Junior or Senior pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work with quality and follow-through
