Description
The Account Director of Retail Media is responsible for driving thought leadership and shaping holistic commerce and retail media strategies to drive client’s business, as well as overseeing the activation team responsible for bringing those strategies amp; plans to life in practice. The Account Director will partner with clients amp; agency Omni/Brand teams to address ecommerce media landscape opportunities and threats to continue to bring forth new opportunities for growth. The Account Director works with client stakeholders amp; holistic agency strategy teams to develop strategy most effectively drive business results across all eCommerce and omni-channel Retail Media platforms including Amazon (Search and Display), Instacart, Shipt, Kroger, Walmart, Target, and retail networks such as Criteo, CitrusAd, and Quotient.
The Account Director is accountable for working with the team to ensure performance is hitting stated revenue, sales, and online goals across Paid Search and programmatic display, and will be key stakeholder for client + Harvest Group Retail Media Team relationship. Specific for this Account Director role, we are seeking proven excellence and experience in developing, delivering and optimizing Paid Search and programmatic display campaigns for various brands across various retail media platforms. A background in omni-channel retail sales is a plus.
For this role we prefer that candidates are based out of the following states: AL, AR, AZ, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, ID, IN, KS, KY, MD, MN, MO, MS, NV, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI.
Responsibilities
  • Manage growing Retail Media team in the planning and activation of campaigns across retail commerce spaces
  • Be the COE and lead, develop, deliver, and optimize programmatic display campaigns on e-commerce platforms, such as Amazon DSP and The Trade Desk.
  • Activate campaigns across Amazon (search and display), Walmart Connect (search and display), Kroger Precision Marketing, Target Roundel, Instacart, and retail media networks such as Criteo, CitrusAd, amp; PromoteIQ
  • Lead regular client calls to address project work, discuss business trends and performance, and plan future engagements.
  • Build and execute annual media plans that support a full funnel marketing approach with awareness, consideration, and conversion audiences and tactics.
  • Lead best in class AMC utilization or other shopper insights to drive strategic DSP strategy and audience targeting and retargeting
  • Responsible for ongoing thought leadership and opportunities that will drive client business results
  • Key lead for client relationship, responsible for team oversight and ensuring performance is meeting client’s goals
  • Works closely with key retail partners to maintain optimal working relationship, and collaborates on new ways to drive client’s business at that particular retailer
  • Responsible for contributing and leading larger Business reviews (QBRs, Annual Planning, etc.)
  • Actively lead and contribute to account strategy, including annual budget development, KPIs, partner selection, new tactics, and tracking industry developments and recommending new
  • Responsible for new business pitches and cross-selling/client development opportunities
  • Understanding of all relevant tools for reporting, analytics and competitive analysis
  • Responsible for managing and coaching a team of 3+ varying levels below them
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of retail media management and/or eCommerce sales management
  • Strong understanding of Demand Side Platform (DSP) activation and optimization techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of the retail media landscape is critical
  • Ability to connect Full-Funnel Marketing activations (search AND display) to retailer specific sales goals and performance
  • Knowledge of activation amp; optimization techniques across Retailer Media amp; eCommerce platforms is a must
  • Strong command of commerce platforms, syndicated research tools, and reporting resources such as Amazon, Walmart Connect, Target-Roundel, Kroger Precision Marketing, Instacart, and retail media networks including Criteo and CitrusAd.
  • 3+ years of people managing experience
  • Demonstrated critical thinking amp; problem solving abilities
  • Guiding clients and client teams through clear and concise communication, both written and verbal. Proven track record of selling ideas clearly amp; delivering value.
  • Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Desire to work in an industry which is constantly evolving amp; presenting new amp; unique challenges
  • Able to package, merchandise, and sell in concepts and new opportunities
  • Strategic thinking, adaptability, and insightful analysis to identify areas of opportunity, delivering optimized results
  • Willingness to travel

We carefully consider a wide-ranging list of factors to determine compensation, including but not limited to level of job-related experience, knowledge, skills, location, etc. Base pay is just one component of the total compensation and benefits package.
The national hiring range for this position is $100,000-$125,000/annually. Additionally, this position is eligible to participate in our bonus program.
