Description

Cleveland Construction is seeking a dependable, hard-working Site Safety Coordinator to join our commercial construction team! Cleveland Construction has a strong safety culture established and supported at all levels of our operations with strong corporate safety support.This is a great opportunity for someone who has chosen Construction Safety as a profession and is looking to join a team of seasoned professionals. This position will work in support of the Project team and be responsible for the project safety oversight. This position will require an aggressive and dynamic person that understands commercial construction and is willing to be an impactful safety leader. Construction Safety Professionals that understand the "Teach, Coach, Train" concept of Safety Leadership will fit the best.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review JHA's with all employees.
  • Complete and document safety audits of the job site each week to ensure compliance with all site-specific and Corporate safety policies.
  • Investigate all incidents and safety hazards working closely with all management to bring them to a positive resolution.
  • Ensure that all recommendations for safety improvements are brought to the Site team and made in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all company, site, and OSHA standards are adhered to. Complete and submit all site safety documentation as required for the project.
  • Complete all necessary Safety documentation as needed
  • Other duties as needed

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS / EDUCATION

  • OSHA 30 required - OSHA 500 Preferred
  • Minimum 3+ย years' experience in commercial construction
  • High School GED or Equivalent
  • Pass E-Verify
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Reliable means of transportation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to speak Spanish is a plus

COMPUTER / TECHNOLOGY

  • Must have excellent computer skills, Microsoft office, Timberline, Citrix a plus
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers including iPad/tablet device
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related construction software
  • Basic knowledge of uploading and managing web-based document storage
