Cisco UCS platform Expert
Remote / Oakland, CA (Candidate must be in California)
Need very Sr seasoned resource.
  • Provides dedicated full-time technical expertise regarding the Cisco UCS platform and other DC platforms to include VMware Virtualization technologies.
  • Represents PG&E as a key contact for product information and can provide incident/issue resolution for Tier 1-3 tickets and can provide assistance with driving Tier 4 tickets for OEM facilitation.
  • Can provide proactive information to PG&E regarding recommended patches, updates, and configurations and can execute change events as required by PG&E.
  • Provides QBR summary updates.
    • Provides technical assistance and response on Cisco UCS environment by addressing Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 issues/incidents (creating tickets or working assigned tickets)
    • Can submit, monitor, and drive Tier 4 incidents to OEM support (Cisco TAC)
    • Provides technical assistance on UCS configuration and architecture
    • Provides technical assistance on other DC equipment, as required.
    • Builds and maintains core technical knowledge runbooks
    • Provide subject matter expertise regarding Cisco UCS Server hardware and various connectivity (iSCSI)
    • Provide subject matter expertise regarding Cisco Hyperflex Data Platform, its data writing and reading processes, and data optimization
    • Understand Cisco UCS service profiles and can create and manage service profile templates
    • Provide information on Cisco UCS firmware updates
    • Can assist with and maintain Cisco UCS backups
    • UCS, Vmware, UCCE (not necessary), UCS environment hypervisor
