Overview

CIS Secure Computing is seeking a motivated and experienced TEMPEST Engineer (CTP-II) to follow TEMPEST test plans, execute TEMPEST testing, and develop final test reports. 

Responsibilities
  • Prepare TEMPEST test plans, execute TEMPEST testing, and develop final test reports.
  • Submit and maintain all documentation required to support the Company's Certification under the TEMPEST Manufacturing and Test Services Program in accordance with the Government's Technical and Security Requirements Document (TSRD).
  • Prepare and deliver applicable technical data specified in the Agreement Data Requirements List (ADRL) for continued certification under the TEMPEST Manufacturer Program. These include:

    • Evaluate all engineering changes, waivers, and deviations receive a TEMPEST assessment on assigned products for the TEMPEST impact.
    • Work closely with individuals primarily responsible for Product Assurance and Configuration Management for the product.
    • Verify that the detection system test equipment is calibrated and operating correctly.
    • Work with the Quality and Operations Manager for scheduling of production TEMPEST tests as required.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:                                            

    • Supervise and oversee all TEMPEST testing performed by non-CTP-II personal
    • Review and assist with the management of the Product Assurance testing to ensure compliance with TSRD.

    OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS:

    • This position anticipates mostly standard hours, with some variability based on surge requirements.
    • This position is expected to perform work on-site at the Ashburn headquarters.

    TRAVEL:

    • Some limited overnight travel may be required.
    Qualifications

    CLEARANCE:

    • Active Secret clearance required. **CIS Secure does not have the ability to sponsor applicants for initial clearances. Applicants without an active Secret clearance will not be considered.**
    • US Citizenship or permanent resident (green card) status required.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; a combination of training, education, and experience is acceptable. 

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a TEMPEST test laboratory.
    • Experience with EMI testing, FCC, VDE preferred.
    • Military experience with electrical engineering training to include communications, radio, and SIGINT preferred. 
    • Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts and able to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

    • Strong reasoning abilities to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    • Strong communications skills (written, oral, and interpersonal).

    • Able to work closely with team members and ensure a collaborative environment with all levels of company personnel.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Visual TEMPEST Inspection (VTI) Certification
