Overview

Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) presents a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and business challenges in the financial sector. ICE team members work across departments and traditional boundaries to innovate and respond to industry demand. A successful candidate will be able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities and the highest degree of professionalism.

This role will be part of a team of information technology professionals responsible for the day‑to‑day administration and data quality of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) records. This role ensures CIs, hardware assets, and hardware models are accurate, well governed, and aligned to the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) to support IT operations, reporting, and audits.

This position requires hands‑on CMDB experience, including CMDB administration, data modeling, and hardware model lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day‑to‑day CMDB administration, including creation, update, validation, and decommissioning of CI records.
  • Actively manage the CMDB work queue (tickets and/or emails), ensuring timely resolution and accurate updates.
  • Maintain CI data quality by monitoring and remediating.
  • Manage and validate CI relationships to support impact analysis and service visibility.
  • Apply working knowledge of the CMDB data model and CSDM to ensure CIs are modeled correctly.
  • Develop and run CMDB reports for stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update CMDB documentation, standards, and procedures.
  • Identify CMDB process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create, maintain and govern hardware models.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 2+ years of CMDB experience working in an enterprise environment utilizing ServiceNow
  • Working knowledge of managing CMDB Service Mapping, Dynamic CI Groups and CMDB Groups
  • Strongs understanding of IT Asset Management, CMDB and asset/CI life‑cycle practices
  • Data analysis and reporting skills to support investigations and remediations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work independently on multiple projects with and ability to perform well under pressure

Desirable Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience building reports with ServiceNow CMDB Query Builder and Performance Analytics
  • Familiarity with servers, network gear, AWS, Kubernetes, end user devices as it relates to CMDB and HAM management
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced excel data analysis, scripting and/or programming experience
