GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Employees in this position can will perform a wide range of duties and assist in all library operations.

This position is accountable to and reports to the Librarian or Assistant Librarian. Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision. Time management skills are necessary.
PUBLIC CONTACT
Daily contacts with patrons, within the library. Must have the ability to establish positive working relationships with patrons. May also involve occasional self-initiated contacts to patrons. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use appropriate judgement in handling information and records is essential.
EMPLOYEE CONTACT
Ability to develop positive working relationships with co-workers. Ability to work independently or as part of a team depending on task. Often work in coordination with employees in other departments and organizations.
USE OF MACHINES, EQUIPMENT AND/OR COMPUTERS
Ability to use a copy machine, fax machine, telephone, computers, printers, scanners, and Square.
