Job description

Cigna Healthcare is building a more connected, intelligent healthcare system, and this role plays a critical part in that mission. The EHR Provider Partnership Strategy Lead drives meaningful partnerships with providers and technology vendors to expand EHR connectivity and accelerate adoption of integrated capabilities such as Prior Authorization and Clinical Data Exchange. This is a high-impact, highly visible role for a strategic, relationship-driven leader who thrives in complexity and is energized by improving how care is delivered.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive measurable growth in EHR-connected providers by developing and executing a clear, scalable provider engagement strategy.

  • Lead outreach, relationship management, and value-based positioning with provider organizations and EHR vendors to accelerate adoption.

  • Design and continuously improve streamlined onboarding experiences that reduce operational friction and speed time to value.

  • Partner closely with technology, operations, analytics, contracting, and provider relations teams to ensure aligned execution.

  • Serve as a strategic connector across a matrixed organization, aligning stakeholders around shared goals and outcomes.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives tied to EHR innovation, regulatory change, and evolving enterprise priorities.

  • Represent provider voice and market insight to influence roadmap decisions and strategic investments.

  • Operate as a trusted advisor and thought partner to senior leaders through data-driven recommendations and clear storytelling.

  • Build foundations for future team growth, with potential to evolve into a people leadership role.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in healthcare strategy, provider engagement, network strategy, healthcare technology, or related roles.

  • Proven success influencing and leading work across highly matrixed organizations.

  • Strong understanding of payer-provider dynamics and provider workflows.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and strategic problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling value propositions.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

  • Ability to work in a hybrid model (3 days per week in-office) if located within 50 miles of a Cigna office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with EHR platforms such as Epic or Cerner.

  • Background in EHR integration, clinical data exchange, or prior authorization solutions.

  • Experience leading enterprise initiatives or special projects with executive visibility.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 106,400 - 177,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
