This position is designed for a remote work setting, allowing our therapists to make use of advanced telehealth technology to connect with patients. While the majority of your practice will occur online, our outpatient office in Lacey provides a supportive backdrop and access to additional resources when needed. You will collaborate directly with a multidisciplinary team, consisting of medical professionals and support staff, enhancing the holistic care experience for our clients.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate mental health needs and construct individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Deliver short-term individual counseling to patients, employing effective crisis intervention strategies suitable for diverse mental health challenges.
• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that address pertinent topics—including stress management, anxiety reduction, and personal development—enhancing community engagement and patient empowerment.
• Collaborate actively with various hospital departments such as emergency services, patient support, and local community organizations to provide seamless and integrated care.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness through campaigns and wellness events, helping to destigmatize mental health issues and encourage treatment seeking.
• Maintain thorough and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA and ethical standards, ensuring compliance and safeguarding patient information.

The patient population at our counseling center includes individuals across a broad spectrum of ages and backgrounds, presenting a variety of mental health concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma-related disorders. By understanding the unique challenges faced by our patients, our therapists can provide bespoke interventions that lead to positive outcomes in a supportive environment.

• An active state license in one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Psychologist.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• A clear understanding of the specific mental health issues prevalent in clinical settings, along with demonstrated ability to design patient-centered interventions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with a diverse medical community.
• Proficiency in utilizing evidence-based practices and brief therapy models suitable for a remote counseling environment.
• An ability to navigate a fast-paced and dynamic clinical setting, manage a varied caseload, and prioritize multiple responsibilities.

• Prior experience working in healthcare or hospital settings, demonstrating a strong familiarity with the nuances of providing mental health care in such environments.
• Experience in facilitating group therapy sessions or community workshops involving mental wellness topics.
• An understanding of telehealth best practices, including effective virtual communication and therapeutic techniques.
