Job description

Cigna-Evernorth Services, Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Advisor for our Austin, TX location to utilize understanding current and future business operations and client needs to develop roadmaps while keeping complexity, feasibility, business value of features and functionality.
Responsibilities:
• Provide the best practices and savings to the customer relationship management (CRM) business and operations through a thorough understanding of the application.
• Perform proof of concepts for new technology adoption in CRM.
• Provide design recommendations to implement highly scalable code components.
• Participate in technical research and analysis to make recommendations on solutions that align with business needs.
• Provide feedback on and act as the principal designer for the complex CRM App development system.
• Participate in the creation of end-to-end solutions to maximize alignment with target states and reusing IT assets.
• Partner with pharmacy teams to increase the quality of incoming alerts/INCs.
• Provide insight into the CRM PI planning roadmap and articulating technical direction and consideration.
• Create solutions that adhere to the security standards of the company and provide guidance for the secure coding practice; and
• Review and approve design and logic configurations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience.
• Requires experience with: Defining and governing the architecture of large-scale Pega PRPC applications, ensuring compliance with guardrails, performance optimization, and scalability across multi-channel environments;
• Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) using Kafka;
• Driving end-to-end delivery of Pega programs, including requirements elaboration, solution blueprinting, technical design authority, sprint planning, quality assurance, and production readiness, while enforcing governance standards;
• Coordinating with business stakeholders and external vendors to manage dependencies, mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of complex, multi-system solutions;
• Collaborating with enterprise architects, business leadership, and cross functional stakeholders to gather requirements, define solution roadmaps, and translate business processes into scalable Pega-based workflows;
• Using Pega Decision Management and Next-Best-Action frameworks for real-time, data-driven customer engagement;
• Leveraging advanced rule-based frameworks, Enterprise Class Structure (ECS), and optimized ruleset strategies for scalability and maintainability;
• Designing and implementing advanced integrations between Pega and external systems using REST, SOAP, JMS, MQ, and secure authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML), ensuring robust and fault-tolerant data exchange;
• Utilizing advanced Pega features such as Queue Processor, Job Scheduler, Data Pages, Declarative Rules, Decision Strategies, Next-Best Action, Predictive Analytics, and Customer Decision Hub for intelligent automation and decisioning;
• Designing and developing process based solutions or BPM (business process management);
• Implementing and optimizing Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) capabilities, including decisioning strategies, Next-Best-Action (NBA) logic, AI model integration, and omni-channel customer interaction orchestration;
• Utilizing Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) tools such as Application Profiler, Application Accelerator, and Application Express for rapid requirements capture and design validation;
• Developing CI/CD pipelines for Pega application delivery using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps, including automated guardrail scanning, code quality checks, security scans, and deployment automation through Pega Deployment Manager, configuring enterprise-grade Single Sign-On (SSO) frameworks integrated with LDAP, and enforcing secure coding practices;
• Applying advanced Oracle SQL for complex data query, performance tuning, data modeling, and integration with Pega data layers to support analytics and reporting; and
• HTML, CSS and JavaScript for advanced Pega UI customization and React component integration.
• Required certifications: Pega Certified Decisioning Consultant; Pega Certified Senior System Architect; and Pega Certified System Architect.
