Job description

Provides clerical support for the Pastor and committees of Wesley United Methodist Church. Staff members of Wesley United Methodist Church are an integral part of ministry. They are frequently the first contact an individual has with the church and they interact with church members and the public on a regular basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Type bulletins, inserts, announcements, newsletters, etc. for printing/emailing
  • Type correspondence
  • Type annual report statistics

Maintenance of records:

  • maintain accurate contact information for church members
  • record and disseminate information from attendance slips
  • maintain membership records
  • maintain some church financial records

Miscellaneous duties:

  • prepare outgoing mail
  • open and distribute incoming mail
  • answer inquiries in person or via phone
  • assist in scheduling events, activities and building use
