Job description

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Ophthalmology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching pediatric ophthalmology fellows, ophthalmology and pediatric residents, and medical students.

Clinical responsibilities may include clinical and surgical activity at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in outpatient and inpatient settings, and at affiliated hospitals. The clinical practice will focus on medical and surgical management of newborn, pediatric, and adolescent patients and will include on-call responsibilities. Clinical practice will also include outpatient clinics and outpatient surgery at CHOP Ambulatory Specialty Care Centers and Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the CHOP Primary and Secondary Region - specifically sites in and around New Jersey, as well as the Primary CHOP hospital site and possibly sites in Pennsylvania. Fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology is required.
