To be eligible for Skills for Chicago services, candidates must reside in Illinois or Indiana, be authorized to work in the United States, and be either unemployed or underemployed.

Job Highlights
  • Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system 
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, providing change and receipts as needed 
  • Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve any concerns to ensure a positive shopping experience 
  • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking merchandise when needed 
  • Adhere to store policies and procedures, including handling returns, exchanges, and promotions 

Candidate Profile
  • Previous customer service experience is a plus 
  • Open availability is required (early mornings, evenings, and weekend) 
  • Successful applicants are required to provide I-9 documents (a valid driver's license or state ID and social security card) if selected for an in-person interview 
  • Must be at least 16 years old
