Job description

Location:Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Under close or general supervision, perform hand packaging and/or basic operation of packaging equipment machine(s) and any related computer systems. Accountable to ensure finished products meet quality and safety standards. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Package boxes of chocolates. 

  • Package other candies, trail mix, etc. in bags and boxes. 

  • Package gift baskets and other gift packaging both custom and standard. 

  • Assist with inventories of chocolates and packaging supplies. 

  • Ensure continuous flow of product and monitor for proper positioning, spacing, sealing, and correct codes/labels. Seek appropriate resources (Leaders/Managers) as needed to correct and prevent issues in a timely manner. 

  • Perform visual inspection for any defects and rework or discard defective products based on procedures. 

  • Unmolding chocolates for preparation of packaging. This requires flipping molds and pressing out all of the vessels to release chocolates. Chocolates would then be placed in paper candy cups to be ready for packaging in boxes. 

  • Complete required paperwork, logs, and computer systems for inventory accuracy. 

  • Maintain a clean working area by performing general sanitation of the workspace and/or equipment. 

  • Complete all required documentation, recordkeeping, and reporting as required by law and/or regulatory agencies, (i.e., FDA, OSHA, USDA, etc.). 

  • Follow government standards and regulations. 

  • Work is usually of a repetitive nature and involves exposure to dairy and nuts. 

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required by leadership.

This is a part-time position working weekdays between 7:30 am - 3:00 pm.
