Job description

Candy Packer Position

Second Nature Brands is on a mission to grow from $500M to $1B over the next 4 years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. We have an opening for a Candy Packer position, who will be an important member of the supply chain team during this growth.

As a candy Packer production team member, you will pack our famous products in various packaging. This is an entry-level position. To be successful, you must have the ability to stay at pace with the line and perform repetitive tasks. This position will be based out Sanders Chocolate Factory 23770 Hall Road in Clinton Township, MI 48036.

Regular working hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, with weekday or weekend overtime as needed. The starting rate is $15.00 per hour plus $1.00 shift premium.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Pack our famous products in various packaging
  • Ensure code date is properly placed and legible
  • Check for any compromises to packaging
  • Ensure each box have correct number of packaging
  • Maintain clean and safe work area
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma/GED;
  • Ability to work well with peers and supervisors;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to keep production running efficiently.
  • Previous manufacturing experience (required)

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for 8-10 hours;
  • Walking up and down stairs;
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs frequently;
  • Working in slightly elevated temperatures;
  • Wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by company.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment can be high and employee may be required to wear personal protective equipment. This is an indoor food manufacturing setting.
