Job Description:

The Seasonal Production Assistant will provide production support and producing content. The role includes assisting the team in multiple facets of production such as prompting live shows, transcribing sound, and producing video elements.


SEASONAL ROLE: This is a seasonal position starting August 10, 2026, and ending May 15, 2027, OR when 1500 hours have been logged, whichever comes first. Employment may end sooner at the company's discretion based on business needs. This seasonal position is associated with the ESPN NEXT Program, but benefits do not apply to this role. There is potential for conversion to a full-time Production Assistant role within the NEXT program, based on performance and the availability of open positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe press conferences and interviews and send to content teams.
  • Teleprompt live studio shows and distribute scripts to talent.
  • Research and brainstorm creative ideas to communicate with content teams.
  • Produce a variety of video elements for ABC affiliates.
  • Occasionally produce content for SportsCenter and other studio programming.

Required Qualifications:

  • Conversational knowledge of multiple sports, especially sports heavily covered within ESPN content during the contract timeline: Football, Basketball, Hockey, and Baseball.
  • Ability to comfortably prepare and communicate ideas.
  • Must possess professional communication and organization skills.
  • React quickly and positively under tight deadlines in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
  • Self-starting attitude and team-oriented work ethic.
  • Will be scheduled to work nights, mornings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Awareness of ESPN content (i.e. platforms, shows, events, etc.)
  • Awareness of media trends (i.e. social, digital, linear, etc.)
  • Experience with video editing software (i.e. Adobe Premiere, Final Cut etc.)
  • Fluency in Spanish

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Additional Information:

  • Will be scheduled to work nights, mornings, weekends, and/or holidays.
