A Chocolate Packing job involves sorting, wrapping, labeling, and packing chocolates into boxes or containers for distribution. Workers must ensure that chocolates meet quality standards, are properly sealed, and are packaged according to company guidelines. This role may also include inspecting products for defects and maintaining a clean workspace. It is typically an entry-level position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a team or individually.
A typical day in chocolate packing involves sorting, inspecting, and carefully packaging chocolates either by hand or using automated machinery to ensure every product meets quality standards. You’ll often rotate between tasks such as weighing, labeling, sealing packages, and maintaining cleanliness at your workstation. The work is usually performed in a team-oriented environment with shifts that may vary depending on production needs. You may also be responsible for reporting inconsistencies or defective products to supervisors. Working efficiently while keeping an eye for detail is key to maintaining the pace and standards of a chocolate production facility.
To excel as a Chocolate Packing worker, you need attention to detail, manual dexterity, basic math skills, and often a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with packaging machinery and safety protocols is beneficial, though on-the-job training is usually provided rather than formal certifications. Being reliable, having good teamwork skills, and maintaining efficiency under time pressure are valuable soft skills in this position. These qualities ensure that chocolates are packed accurately, safely, and quickly, maintaining product quality and meeting production targets.

Operate Raymond Reach and walkie forklifts to move raw materials and finished products throughout the warehouse.
Use an ERP system to perform inventory transactions, order picking, and stock movements, transitioning to RF scanners as needed.
Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including loading/unloading trailers and preparing materials for production and shipping.
This role combines hands-on forklift operation with inventory and systems work in a food manufacturing warehouse. You will spend approximately half of your time operating forklifts and handling materials, and the other half using an ERP system to perform manual picking, inventory transactions, and eventually RF scanning. You will work with ingredients stored in various temperature zones, including fridges, freezers, warm rooms, and the main production warehouse, to prepare orders and materials for the next day’s production, shipping, and receiving activities.
ResponsibilitiesYou will join a family-oriented facility that offers a welcoming and close-knit atmosphere. The environment is clean, well-organized, and focused on quality, with a strong emphasis on safety and Good Manufacturing Practices. The facility produces granola bars and similar products, creating a pleasant setting that often smells like chocolate, caramel, and nuts. You will work with a small team of operators, allowing for strong collaboration, clear communication, and opportunities to learn new systems and technologies such as ERP tools and RF scanning. The organization values a respectful workplace, consistent processes, and a stable schedule that supports work-life balance.
Work EnvironmentThis is a smaller food manufacturing facility that produces granola bars containing nuts. The environment is clean, organized, and typically smells like chocolate, caramel, and nuts. Because of the nature of the products, individuals must be able to work safely around nuts and cannot have peanut allergies. The warehouse is directly attached to the production floor, and typically about two operators work per building on a shift, creating a focused and collaborative setting. The aisles are relatively tight, requiring careful and safety-conscious forklift operation. The facility follows strict GMP standards, and all employees must comply with these requirements. Temperatures are generally controlled, but the facility can get warm in the summer, and you will also enter fridges, freezers, and warm rooms as part of the job. The role runs on a second shift schedule from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Required PPE includes a long-sleeved lab coat, hair net, steel toe shoes, and gloves worn throughout the shift. No jewelry is permitted on the production floor, and fake eyelashes are not allowed. When entering freezer or fridge areas, you must be fully covered and follow all safety protocols. You will use equipment such as Raymond Reach forklifts, walkie forklifts, pallet jacks, ERP systems, and, over time, RF scanners as the facility transitions to more automated inventory processes.
