Westaff is Hiring Molding Machine Operators in Meriden, CT!


Hours: 1st shift, Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $18 -$22.50 an hour, depending on experience 

Molding Machine Operator Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor, operate, and adjust molding machinery to ensure consistent product quality
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including chocolate type and product weight
  • Perform packing duties: read and follow production orders, complete paperwork, and label accurately
  • Record and total all cases/boxes produced during each shift
  • Use a pallet jack to transport materials and finished goods throughout the facility
  • Perform demolding by safely removing molded chocolate pieces from their molds
  • Communicate effectively with maintenance staff and team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Assist with machine and tank cleaning, which includes heavy lifting
  • Break down up to 5,000 lbs of chocolate per shift
  • Perform repetitive bending and lift up to 20 lbs overhead throughout the shift

Molding Machine Operator Experience:

  • Experience in food production or manufacturing; familiarity with GMPs
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion
  • Ability to read and interpret production order documents accurately
  • Knowledge of chocolate tempering is a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability
